IFATS

IFATS is currently the world’s only interdisciplinary fat tissue society. We are committed to serve as the premier global incubator in the field of fat applied technology. IFATS’s current scientific areas of interest relate to facilitating the development of treatments for excess body fat, the generation of new fat tissue for reconstruction after cancer or birth-related defects and the use of adipose tissue as a source of mesenchymal stem cells that have the potential to regenerate and repair different body tissues. The Adisave team will be presenting findings from our research at the IFATS 2012 meeting in Québec City, Québec. IFATS is the International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science.

Dr. Sliwin will be presenting research on Optimizing Harvesting Techniques of Human Adipose Derived Stem Cells (hADSCs): a multivariable study comparing sizes of cannula and power suction, water-jet and syringe suction liposuction techniques.
